View Full Version : Does Colour matter?
One for the guys and gals.
Tall dark and handsome? Blondes have more fun? Redheads have a temper to match their hair?
What's your preferred hair colour on a partner, if you have one?
It doesn't really matter...but i vcan't resist men with black hair..the tall dark and handsome type! My gorgeous hunk of man has beautiful black hair but shaves it all off..oh but that is very sexy!
In general I tend to notice brunettes more than blondes, but when I get to know the person it makes no difference as a few blondes here have found out.

Colour is not important! I'll take anyone. ;)
I'm colour blind and baldy so fekk it, your gonna git it fer this property.
I always thought that I preferred guys with jet black hair. But, I've been out with guys with practically every different hair colour so I guess I like a bit of variety.
My hubby also has black hair that is shaved, sindy. I love rubbing it when it's stubbly, very sexy. Even sexier when teamed with facial stubble. Yum!!!

I voted female redhead, they are such a challange :D
My first wife was a redhead,I think. I stayed out as much as possible.
I think hair colour does matter.
I suspect that we can all think of examples of the opposite sex we find attractive, with each of poppy's nominated hair colours. But most of us have a physical "type" we are always drawn to, and hair colour is an important component of that - probably ahead of height and figure.
In my case, I prefer girls with brown or black hair, whereas I very seldom find redheads attractive. Blondes can be nice (but that's because they're often brunettes, if the truth be known).

Maybe I should start a new poll, about eye colour then, cos your sparklers would win hands down.

Ritchie - I'm gutted!! :cry
I was born with bright ginger hair and consequently suffered the usual taunts of 'ginger nut', 'carrots' and many other jibes(amongst others) whilst at school. I hated my hair then, especially as along with it came the very fair skin and millions of freckles. How I longed to be like the others in my class with brown hair and not a freckle in sight. Now, my hair has got slightly darker as I have got older, but when the sun's on it, the ginger definitely shows up. Dave has, on more than one occasion, called me 'Duracell' (the one with the copper coloured top) :hit:
Goes off to look for Mr_Smacker whilst innocently twirling her now slightly darker than ginger hair around her fingers.

Sara,
No offence was intended. I'm currently working with someone who has a definite "thing" about redheads, and the current vote shows that he's not alone in that.
(redheaded girls are doing a lot better than brown-haired blokes, in fact)

I personally prefer brown haired brunettes.
Hence my track record of 100% blonde or red haired (or in one case copper (yes, really) headed) girlfriends...
Still, they were all very nice, or in one case, still was being nice when she went out shopping this morning...
Well.. i voted for other.. because truth be told.. neither the hair nor it's colour is what attracts me nearly as much as the intelligence and warmth of the Man under it! Bald, grey, brown, blonde or red... really doesn't matter. Having said that... eyes... hmmmmmmmmmm may be another story.... :p
the double blonde one

Well, lotsa red-haired men that I've seen are hot! I guess though, usually I prefer brown to dark haired ones. The main thing, always is the person. Get yourself a good man, who sparks your fire and it doesn't matter that much.

Feck sake Mr. B., YE MEAN YE CANAE SEE THE FECKIN HOOPS ?....how sad...:(
I like tall dark brown hair with blue eyes .. very very very much .. but I usually end up with tall dark brown hair and brown eyes lol
I also like ruggedly handsome .. not 'cute like Tom Cruise"
At last, a solitary vote for men with brown hair. God bless you madam, whoever you are.

Hair colour has no real impact on me in a partner, don't care if they have any.
Do Blondes have more fun? Keeping the wolf's at bay isn't easy.
IMHO It's a Male thing rather than something that concerns women about men.
Now a hairy chest or back is another thing all together.

I'm curious as to whether you're pro or anti on this?
I think it was quite simply an empirical and phenomenological a statement.
A hairy back or chest is another thing or things if one wished to put Descartes before De'hosses.

personally I have to confess I am more attracted to dark haired east asian women.
I am blonde haired myself and i think maybe opposites do attract.
When it comes to spanking though, i do have a strong fantasie of spanked by a young blonde lady.
I am not quite sure why.

Some Enchanted Evening
You may see a Stranger
Across a crowded room,
And somehow you know....
You know even then................
I can tell you the first words I ever said to the woman who would become my wife two years later..
"I've come to tell you, - that you have the most beautiful red hair, - that I have ever seen in all my life........"
Was true - on the day I said it, and still true today..

Well, as far as men are concerned - dark darker darkest hair seems to be better than blond.
Think about hollywood male cinema idols...
They are ALL deark or black haired.
Can anyone think of ONE blond male leading actor / star?

to be fair they were all quite a while ago.
I think maybe though there is with these matters a tendancy for opposites to attract, i very much enjoyed being a blondish, haired male in the fair east, my hair is sort of blonde/brown colour, people argue over that, the same as they do about the colour of my eyes.
Generally maybe those features which make some one stand out a bit from the crowd, to a moderate degree are what are considered attractive in most societies
