yep, new site is great. had problems with new chatroom but this seems to have been resolved by downloading latest java (however, this has caused probs elsewhere!! but chatroom works ok!)

Seriously though, its easier to navigate around (once you find everything againg lol) I like the quick links option - very handy - Ive not had any of the login probs that some folks seem to be having, so far all seems to be working ok

mostly though, Im just glad its back...for a couple of days you had me worried there

only thing Ive found is the 'peabrain' smilie wont work if you just click it in the smilies page cos it comes out like this --> :peabrain cos its got a : p at the start that comes out as a tongue smiley face ...a small thing but the only one Ive found so far :)

As a new member to it I am enjoying it very much. Though I am still not very good at taking part. The people here in the main seem very understanding and easy to talk to. Personaly I am still trying to settle in. Hopes for the future are high.

Thinks you have done a wonderful job HM and all in such a short time, my only suggestions for improvements would be in setting would be good if Autopopups and door bell were set to active permanently, most use pms and door bell and if some awkward sod comes along they can always disable them. But again well done on your very hard work

It's not just about awkward sods, wimpuk, and I wonder what non-allegorical evidence you have for your assertion that it is only a few like the current settings.

Popup windows can be a right pain for many users, and a particular nuisance for some of the lady members who complain of too many things popping up (sic). In turn, this can lead to PCs crashing. The default setting nicely leave things in the control of the recipient of the unwanted attentions, which I am sure is the right thing.

No one setup will please all of the people all of the time - so what we want, imo, is a nice safe default (which we have) and also for the chat room to remember our settings so that we don't have to keep resetting everything every time we go in (which I believe it is capable of, but does not currently do).

havent been around much lately, popped back a while ago and saw the change, didnt like it, could find ANYTHING.....


however, gave it another go and "yeah" its cool, easy to use ( when you get used to it)

( still prefer NO 1 site though even with its little quirks, especially the revolving door in chat that threw you out for no reason!!!)
