I was starting to think the 'Bash Street Gang' had all decided to retreat back into their caves this year! The posts regarding the 'meet' on the 12th of January have been thin on the ground so far regarding who will be attending, but we are up for it this time! Looking forward to meeting all who turn up, but please remember a certain person maybe a little bit shy at first.....laffs.
Guess we should all appreciate that the events of last year should put a few things into perspective for us all, dont you agree?
Well, its 2005 & we aint getting any younger, so lets go for it!

I would love to come along to Counting House tomorrow. I am however very
nervous about the prospect. I have never been before nor have I ever attended such a meeting. Can someone put my mind at rest. :4bounce
Sorry I won't be able to make this one, because I have a Parents' Consultation Evening to attend. Hope everyone has a great time, and I hope to see you all next time.

you will find that we are a very friendly bunch...
normally the problem for folk coming along for the first time is...
how to spot the group as we look so normal :D

It's understandable that u feel nervous, the Scots are a barmy bunch....they will make u feel really welcome and as if u've known them for years, u'll have a great laff and at the end of the evening wonder why u were so nevous.
Lets just hope the whether isn't too bad to keep people away.

The trains from where DashingDave stays to Glasgow were not running due to a fallen tree at Cardonald bringing down power lines. However I think he posted his reply as a final act of kindness to me. DashingDave had mentioned on a number of occasions the he would be bringing his lady with him to the next munch. Despite the weather we did actually go to the Counting House on Wednesday, but I took cold feet and didn't want to join the group. I think it is unlikely I will ever pluck up enough courage to attend a munch I couldn't do it when I was with someone, so its unlikely I would attend now I am on my own again. I can't speak for DashingDave so I don't know if he'll attend the next munch but if he does I'm sure he wont be wearing a rabbit suit - but then again who knows :4bounce

Sorry to hear you did not feel confident enough to join us, but only you will be able to do that when you are ready...........and sorry your realtionship with Dashing Dave did not work out, but these things happen....both of you just need to take the good bits, and learn from the not so good bits and move on..........anyway good luck for the future....

Yes indeed this is all true, but in all fairness I am partly to blame also. A real crap day personally & I took it out on the wrong person for which I sincerely apologise for. In all truth, I dont deserve someone like Lakotalady who is one of the nicest, genuine & kindest persons I have met. I just wasnt used to people caring about me this much. Im glad she doesnt switch as I know what I deserve right now for being so stupid.
PS - This is not a personal ad!
I have attended one or two of these little swallies.....I too am of a nervous disposition.....however theres no need to be.....I was hit on the heid wi coke bottle and enjoyed the rest of the evening free of any kind of inibitions..
as you can see the knock on my feckin heid affected my spelling....
So just go.....Ye will enjoy it......However if you should encounter Scott33
be prepared to discuss..Pottery classes....

Oh no! I am a bad horrid person and I am so sorry! I haven't been on here since before Christmas (naughty I know, but bad health and a hectic festive season) and I didn't even know you guys had planned another one until the day after when one of the girls asked me if I went.
I feel really terrible folks and sorry I wasn't there to help raise the flag in the cold with you all.
Please please please don't give up LMN, most people genuinely appreciate the effort you and merryleigh (though you on your own most recently we know), go to to organise these events and have said as much to me and each other. In fact it was a topic of discussion at my party thursday night and had those people known they would have been there too. Don't let the good work of bringing everyone together stop now. It would be sooo sad! :-(

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww please don't do this lmn, it's the best & only thing I look forward to. Please re-think your decision.
There'll be so many un-happy people out there if you don't re-think.
