    Limerick Game

Let's make some limericks! The idea is to create a limerick with each person posting one line.

A limerick is a 5-line poem and the rules for creating one are:
    - Lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyme
    - Lines 3 and 4 rhyme

    - There is a special rhythm which goes like this:

    1. da DUM da da DUM da da DUM
    2. da DUM da da DUM da da DUM
    3. da DUM da da DUM
    4. da DUM da da DUM
    5. da DUM da da DUM da da DUM

It might be helpful to number your lines so we know where we are up to and when it's time to start a new one.

Ok so this is the first line...

    1. Here goes, the first limerick game

Here goes, the first limerick game,
You can do it while sat on the train.
    The rhythm is key,
While you sup your cold tea,
And shout, 'Are you not entertained!'

Pray indulge a complete one before moving on:

A Crusader's wife from the garrison
Went off and had sex with a Saracen
    She was not over-sexed
    Nor really perplexed
She just wanted to make a comparison

    And for the next starter

    1. A buxom young barmaid from Kent

    Please indulge another complete one

A feisty young woman from Norway
Loved sex standing up in a doorway
    She said as she stood
    Her arse splintered in wood
“All right then next time do it your way”

I am going to (try) and sit the next few rounds of this brilliant game out.

Would someone please like to start the next Limerick?

(Seriously. I've been round all the local shops. Should have got there before pancake day.)

    4. And that's what it needs,

(Although, lemon juice and granulated sugar is highly recommended. Hmm - don't usually do pancake day, but, I have got flour, sugar and lemon juice, and what with all this pancake talk...)

Take care, lest it add to your bum!

But at least this won't damage your gums

Steward's enquiry required but I am afraid on this occasion Dr. Tan it looks like I was first past the finish line although your line is better. I'm easy either way merry Limerickers.
