I dont think there is a market.
I have been trying to sell/swap some too. (Moving to another town, clearing out.)
They will go to paper recykling, and come out as envelops for sending dvds.
I think that one of the problems is that unless you set up a mail-box at considerable expense you have to give too many personal details away.
Payment can now be made anonymously, but I recently wished to buy some and realised that I wasn't prepared to either divulge my home address or have them delivered there.
I may be more cautious than most, and I may be prepared to set up a mail-box for the right old issues, so I suggest you post details of your collection here and see if you get any responses.
Other than that if you are in London I believe Janus will willingly purchase their old magazines from the seventies and maybe eighties for resale.
Hi All
I am looking to buy any old magazines, especially Roué & Janus if the price is right, I will buy the job lot and not just pick issues. You can email me on sohopunk76@btconnect.com

These magazine cover the period 1968 – 1969, and were the first spanking magazines I had ever seen. (Pant pant.)

There's a site called www.preloved.co.uk (maybe .com) that accepts them for sale. A member from here has hundreds for sale but as they don't seem to be shifting maybe there isn't the demand for them.
My Sir asked me the other day do i want his magazine collection as he's going to shred them. I said yes strait away to them He said they're a 20 yr old collection from when he started to collect in the 70s. I can't wait to see them
I'm not -honest! - on a commission from Brass Monkey (see above) but younger spankos can be assured that Corporal was (I assume it's defunct) a very good publication indeed. Despite it being, perhaps the, pioneer periodical from the 1960's, it set standards that were not equalled for some time.
Incidentally are sales of Janus etc, falling since the arrival of the web?
There's not been a new Janus for some time - I asked in the shop in November and they said the new issue had gone to the printers but that there 'was a problem'. Since then, nothing.
I genuinely do hope the web has not seen off such a venerable institution. Although, despite the arrival of some top quality crumpet in its pages (Leia, Amelia, Niki, Chloe etc) they've not done much to compete with what the web can offer. The recent free disc on the cover of 166 was good, but what a missed opportunity - instead of video it simply contained more pictures from the AJR cover shoot. Compared to say 10 years ago when you had Paula Meadows and Hardcastle making real works of illustrative art, I would say it has gone down hill.
The ones I remember from my days looking up at the top shelf in the late 70s and early 80s are Swish and Justice - were they any good?
